This is one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed in! The vibes were impeccable. We were given a room with a "tower terrace," meaning a third-story that was just an outdoor space! The view was gorgeous, especially during sunrise and …
|This is my second visit here and it only confirms and emphasizes the magic of the place: The hermits really had it good ;) here… Completely renovated while keeping the style and feeling of centuries of good life, having its own food and …
Hotel decided to hold massive party on lawn immediately outside of our room from 8:30 till midnight with extremely loud music. Night manager was extremely defensive and took no responsibility. He said it was our fault because they informed …
There is a lot to love about Eremo Della Giubiliana. The hotel is situated in a former monastery. When you enter the gate you feel like you are arriving at something very special, and that is certainly true. The buildings and surrounding area, including the garden and pool area, are beautiful. The reception area and living are homely and full of historic details. The courtyard where you can have dinner in summer is romantic and dinner is a pleasurable experience. Breakfast is good. The staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful.
While it has a lot to go there are also some significant points that could be improved.
In contrast to the magnificent monastery itself the rooms (at least the standard room that we had) are simple. The bathroom is outdated, making it difficult to clean, showering results in an excessively wet bathroom, and you have to be very careful with the sharp edges of the showering screen when bathing.
The beds are matrasses on hard wood, matrasses not very clean.
Ants are present both in the room (floor, bathroom, night stand) but also on the breakfast buffet tables near the food.
Cappuccino at breakfast could be served hot.
Staff as said very friendly but would make a more lasting impression with more eye for detail.
Ere della Giubiliana is steeped in history and offers five star old world charm. Given the resort is in a converted monastery, the rooms can be a bit on the cosy side, however, they are beautifully appointed and have all the modern …
OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE. I am excited to write a review for this exquisite place. The accommodation is beautiful to the eye and so comfortable. We stayed at one of the cottages, giving us privacy, spaciousness, and so much comfort.
We would also like to thank management for allowing us to charge our electric car and for being so understanding in regards to our situation where we had to postpone our arrival. Thank you very much.
Breakfast every morning was something we would look forward to as we were given a wide variety of a delicious foods to choose from, sometimes it's was so hard to choose that you felt like you had to eat a bit of everything LOL.
We had the opportunity to have dinner twice during our 5 day stay. "Complimenti" to the Chef for an incredible and unforgettable tasty experience. We enjoyed all the recommendations that the Maître D' made and we also bought a few bottles of their own wine and olive oil. Being able to taste them at dinner really gave us the opportunity to make a satisfactory purchase before we left the property.
We would like to thank everyone that made our stay so much more magical than we could have ever imagined. Thank you to the reception team, restaurant team, I would love to name you all individually for connecting with us and leaving such a friendly impression. You are all truly magnificent at what you do and your uniqueness's were very much appreciated. Grazie mille.
This is an old monastery in a very quiet location a few miles from Ragusa but it caters mainly for groups who are given the use of the main dining room whilst non groups such as us had to dine in an old converted cellar. It was very …
Historic monastery with beautiful lobby, beautiful exterior, good restaurant. Rooms are ok. We appreciated the historic furniture but some of it was just not historic, just old looking. I.e the side bed tables. Bathrooms should be …
Awful place. They utilize a bait and switch technique for bookings. Their website as well as all the booking sites advertise rooms at least one category higher than is offered when you get there. I paid for an upgraded room and given a …
